Assembly Worker – Warehouse Role
Based in Skewen, near Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea
£13.21 per hour | Full-time employed position
Quartzize Worktops Ltd is continuing to grow, and we are now looking for Assembly Workers to join our busy warehouse and manufacturing team in Skewen.
This is a hands-on role within our worktop production and warehouse environment, helping to prepare, handle and assemble materials used in our kitchen makeover and quartz overlay worktop installations. You’ll be part of a practical, hardworking team that helps keep our national operation moving smoothly.
About the Job
As an Assembly Worker, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our warehouse and manufacturing area. The work may include preparing materials, assisting with assembly tasks, moving and organising worktop components, helping load and unload items, and keeping the work area tidy, safe and efficient.
This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is reliable, and is happy working as part of a busy team.
You don’t need to be a kitchen fitter or tradesperson, but previous experience in a warehouse, assembly, manufacturing, production or manual handling role would be helpful.
Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
- Assisting with the preparation and assembly of worktop materials
- Helping move, organise and handle materials safely within the warehouse
- Supporting production and warehouse teams with daily tasks
- Loading and unloading items when required
- Checking materials and components are prepared correctly
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Following instructions carefully and working to company procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to help ensure orders are completed efficiently
About You
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, practical and willing to get stuck in.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable with hands-on, physical work
- Able to follow instructions carefully
- A good team player with a positive attitude
- Health and safety conscious
- Organised and able to keep work areas tidy
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, assembly or production experience would be useful, but not essential for the right person
