Nottingham Kitchen Transformation

Project Overview
Mark’s kitchen in Nottingham had good bones but felt heavy and a little dated, with pale traditional doors and dark worktops absorbing much of the light. Quartzize refreshed the space by introducing stronger contrast and cleaner lines, while still working sympathetically with the existing tiles and flooring. The result is a more refined, contemporary look that feels brighter and more cohesive throughout.
What We Changed
We replaced the original cream cabinet fronts with new Shutter And Groove doors in Legno Graphite, introducing a deeper, more modern colour that anchors the room and pairs neatly with Mark’s brass handles and fittings. The traditional dark laminate worktops were upgraded to light Carrara Marble quartz, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. Together, the vertical detailing of the doors and the subtle marble veining of the worktops create a smarter, more streamlined run beneath the window and along the wall by the back door.

The Result
The new Legno Graphite cabinetry gives the kitchen a calm, grown-up feel, while the Carrara Marble worktops bounce light around the room and lift the whole scheme. The window run now appears wider and brighter, and the long section by the back door feels neater and more purposeful, with a continuous pale surface replacing the old dark counter. By retaining the original tiles and flooring, Mark has gained a modern, characterful kitchen without losing the warmth of the existing space.
